PROCEDURE
Prospective students are required to register and submit all documents in Darmasiswa RI official website apply.darmasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id. For students who are not in the student's home country is not allowed to be registered through the Indonesian Embassy / Consulate General in the participating countries (non-citizenship).
PROGRAM SCHEDULES
Online registration – 19 February 2024 until 7 April 2024.
Interview and Administration at Indonesian Embassy/Consulate – 8 April 2024 until 21 April 2024.
Selection by the University – 22 April 2024 until 5 May 2024.
Joint Selection with University – 6 May 2024 until 12 May 2024.
Announcement – 20 May 2024.
Attendance confirmation – 20 May 2024 until 9 June 2024.
Final Announcement – 10 June 2024.
Telex visa application - July - August 2024
Delivery Arrival Schedule – 9 June 2024 until 9 August 2024.
Pre-Departure Briefing at Indonesian Embassy – early August 2024.
Basic Indonesian Course Preparation (online) - 1-9 August 2024
Orientation program at Jakarta, Indonesia – 29 until 31 August 2024.

COVERAGE
The monthly living allowance that will be received by awardees is IDR 4,700,000/month, book allowance is IDR 2,000,000 (one-off), settlement allowance is IDR 4,700,000 (one-off).
Awardees will be provided with accommodation and transportation during the Orientation Program if their timeof arrival aligns with the schedule provided by the MoECRT.
Awardees are advised to bring extra money (better in USD) for their personal unforeseen expenses in Indonesia - Including processing fees for IMEI registration for phones priced above USD 500 (please refer to the FAQ for details).
QUALIFICATIONS OF STUDENTS
Each student has to fulfill these requirements as the follows:
Foreign nationals
Completed secondary education or its equivalent
Minimum age 18 years and Not older than 32 years of age
Able to communicate in English (Proven by English Language Proficiency Certificate : TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS or OTHER CERTIFICATE if applicable)
In good health as proven by Medical Certificate
Have basic knowledge of the applied field
Have strong interest to learn the applied field
Not registered as Darmasiswa’s Alumni
Not registered as KNB’s Alumni
Not currently studying in Indonesia
Not currently working in Indonesia
INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE TICKET
The Ministry of Education and Culture does not provide the international airfare to/form Indonesia
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Curriculum vitae/resume (template provided in Darmasiswa website)
Medical certificate (in English)
Passport valid at least 18 months from the time of applying
Recommendation Letter from Education Institution / Professional Institution on official letterhead and signature (in English)
Latest academic transcript and certificates (in English)
English language proficiency certificate (if applicable)
Certificates related to the applied field (if applicable)
Photo passport (color)
Essay about applicant's purpose of study (in English or Bahasa Indonesia maximum 500 words).
A full body video that shows the applicant explaining her/his motivation to join the program and what she/he will contribute as an ambassador of Indonesian culture after graduating (video must not exceed 2 minutes duration and can be in English or Bahasa Indonesia).
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
Awardees have the right to
Receive educational programs prepared by host universities.
Receive monthly living allowance in the amount of IDR 4,700,000.
Receive a one-off book allowance in the amount of IDR 2,000,000.
Receive a one-off settlement allowance in the amount of IDR 4,700,000.
Receive accommodation and local transportation during the Orientation Program.
Receive legal stay permit from the Government of Indonesia.
Receive assistance from host universities in finding a house/room of which the rent is included in the living allowance.
Receive local health insurance.
Awardees have the obligations to
Sign a statement letter provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT).
Inform the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations, MoECRT regarding the date and time of their arrivals in Indonesia for pick up arrangement.
Attend classes and programs until the end of their Darmasiswa Program.
Arrive in Indonesia a day before the Orientation Program.
Write a trimonthly progress report to the host university.
Write a final report to the host university and MoECRT after finishing their study in Indonesia.
Have international insurance.8.
Apply for Student VISA (index/type C316).
Agree to be photographed or videotaped during the program, which will be used for the Darmasiswa Program’s documentation and promotions.
Complete studies according to the program.
After completing the program, participants are encouraged to attend cultural events and activities hosted by the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General in their home countries.
Awardees are encouraged to demonstrate good performance to enhance the likelihood of increased participation from their country in the program next year.
